Publish Graffiti Blog Entries Using MS Word 2007
GraffitiCMS has an API that will allow you to publish your posts from Microsoft Word. I'm creating this very post in Word in fact. The API can be found in <yoursite>/api/MetaBlog.ashx. To set this up, open Word and click on the big Microsoft circle icon in the top left. Select "New". Then Select the "Other" tab and choose Blog post. After doing this, you will see an icon at the top that says "Manage Accounts" (4th from the left).

Click it and follow the following steps:
You'll want to choose Other, then set up your account:

The API option should say "MetaWebLog" and for Blog Post URL, enter <yoursitename>/api/MetaBlog.ashx. Enter your admin username and password.

Click on Picture Options in the bottom left and select "My Blog Provider"

Click OK to close the picture options window and OK again to finish setup.

All that is left, is creating your post. The title should be the first area of the page - above the horizontal line. Word will hilight it for you if you tab through the document. Make sure you Insert a Category; the post will not publish without a category. You can select the category from the top menu.
Simply click "Publish" to send it up to Graffiti. I generally begin by choosing "Publish as Draft" and then go check it out in the Graffiti Admin tool before setting it live.
Enjoy!
